Events to Promote and Serve the Crisfield Community!
SOFT SHELL FESTIVAL
Last Sunday in May (Memorial Day Sunday)
Held the Sunday before Memorial Day, the festival features Fresh Soft Crab Sandwiches, Crab-Cakes, Fresh-Cut fries, local vendors entertainment and more.
The Festival also features the yearly inductees into the Crisfield Waterman's Hall of Fame
After significant discussion between the Crisfield Lions and Crisfield Lioness-Lions, the decision was made to discontinue and dissolve the Soft Shell Festival as a sponsored event by our club.
GLENN WARD MEMORIAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
Doing What’s Needed
Held annually in the middle of September, this three day tournament is a double elimination co-ed tournament fundraiser to support the Glenn Ward foundation, sponsored by our club, which supports medical needs for crisfield residents and families.
The tournament is named for former club member and Somerset County Commissioner Glenn Ward, who passed away from cancer in 1986, at 29 years old.
After 31 years of tournaments, the Glenn Ward Tournament was officially ended in 2021.
SAUSAGE SALE
Fresh Sausage sold by the pound!
Done annually in late October, and Early November, our club sells fresh sausage in multiple varieties in link and bulk. Delivery is typically the week before Thanksgiving, just in time for the holidays!
DEBORAH EMELY MEMORIAL SWIM MEET
Held on Crab Derby Saturday at the Somers Cove Marina Pool
Held in the memory of Deborah Emely, the late wife of our Board Member Paul Emely.
Held on Crab Derby Saturday at the Somers Cove Marina Pool, the event is for kids age 4-12, registration is held the hour before the event.
